Wilderness Journeys Shortlisted for Major Award

We were delighted to find out that Wilderness Journeys has been shortlisted at the Responsible Tourism Awards 2009. After being initially nominated by our clients, we were then assessed and were delighted to make it onto the final shortlist. The category we are a finalist for is 'Best Operator in a Mountain Environment'.

The BBC’s Wildest Dreams was one of my favourite programmes yet, and if you feel the same as i did then you will be mourning its demise! For those of you who did not tune into this extraordinary programme, it was about nine wildlife enthusiasts who compete for the ultimate job to become a wildlife film-maker. Over the series, presenter Nick Knowles and James Honeyborne judge the skills of the contestants in one of the natural world's greatest arenas – Africa.
Sea Kayaking in Greenland

I am lucky enough to have just returned from our incredible sea kayaking expedition trip to Greenland and I am still finding it difficult to put into words just how amazing it was. This truly is a trip of a lifetime and I was blown away by the scenery, the great feeling of wilderness, the wonderful paddling and the friendliness of the Inuit. It seemed that every day we paddled in increasingly more beautiful locations and our camp sites became even more spectacular.
