LATEST TRIP REPORT
Skiing in Zermatt
The warmest spring on record preceeded our arrival in Zermatt at the end of April. Most of the other ski resorts in the Alps had called it a day after 3 weeks of temperatures in the 70s. While the lower slopes of Zermatt looked more like summer than winter, at altitude the conditions remained excellent for some late season off-piste and ski touring.
There were six of us in total, in Zermatt to scope out the potential for an off-piste week. Based in the valley, we found it hard to leave the superb hotel where Rosmarie and Willy were fantastic hosts
